‘passing of time’

So my final leg of uni is over, all five major projects have been handed in! now let’s hope the results are good.

I haven’t blogged in ages. Sorry!

Here’s another of my projects from uni, (the first being the wallpaper i designed and boxed)

This one is called ‘passing of time’ and is a representation, almost of stop motion effect, of light passing around an object. In this case I used typography as my object. I chose to keep a simple typeface and decided on Gill Sans to show a clean strong shadow. To start with I photographed the whole alphabet and then moved on to making maquettes with a letter on each side, this created interesting light and shadow patterns.

Each book is like a flip book showing the movement of light.
